KTU Activity Points Handbook · 2024 Scheme (v2)
The rules, short version.
- 120 points over the programme, with at least 40 from each of the three groups. Lateral entry: 90 / 30 per group. PwD: 60 / 20 per group.
- Earning them gives 3 activity credits (pass/fail, not in CGPA). The degree is not awarded without them, and final-semester results can be withheld.
- Only activities during the programme count. Certificates from before admission are ignored.
- Participation and winning cannot both be claimed for the same event. Only the highest level reached counts (win at college and then at state → state points only).
- Every head has a maximum. Points above it are not counted.
- Keep a personal Activity Points File with every certificate. It is checked by the Senior Faculty Advisor at the end of each semester, and retained for KTU audit.
- Fake or altered documents mean all points cancelled and disciplinary action.
- Skilling courses (3.17) count only if they are on KTU's published approved list and the certificate shows the hours. 1 point per hour, max 40.
